ABOUT

The Mendocino County Growers Alliance (MCGA) is a non-profit membership organization founded in 2017, serving Mendocino cannabis farmers and businesses through education, business development and public policy programs, as well as member support services.
MCGA is proud to serve the legacy of Mendocino County as a renowned cannabis producing region of California, through driving socially and environmentally sustainable rural economic development and public policy.

JOIN

MCGA is a local support system for the cannabis industry in Mendocino County. We represent our members by advocating for smart public policy, provide educational and professional development opportunities, and work to build a stronger community through member meetings and other networking events.

ADVOCACY & PUBLIC POLICY
  • MCGA crafts written and oral public comment on county policy, participates in county working groups, and educates county staff and elected officials.
  • We host a Local Policy Call every other Thursday 7-8pm.
  • Members can join our Policy Committee and help decide our advocacy priorities.
  • Through our regional partnership with California Growers Association (CGA) all members receive joint membership in both orgs including all CGA member benefits.
  • Opportunity to join CGA’s weekly state policy calls every Wed 8:30-10am.
  • CGA lobbies for state policy in favor of independent farms.
  • MCGA sits on the CGA regional council and helps shape CGA’s state-level advocacy efforts.
  • Ability for members to participate in CGA working groups on state policy and attend CGA conferences and member events.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Discount (or Free) Entry to MCGA Educational Workshop Series (2-4 per month) featuring topics including agricultural practices, industry trends, business development and agency regulations.
  • MCGA Newsletter provides industry insight and local/state policy updates.
  • Up-to-Date information about legislative and regulatory developments
  • Alerts about upcoming regulatory deadlines or legislative public comment periods.
